A Clinical Study of Perforating or and Obstructing Cob Rectal Cancer




Abstract
A study has been presented concerning 75 patients of perforating or and obstructing colo-rectal cancer, who were admitted to Department of General Surgery, B. N. U. H., during about, 17 years, from 1957, tb 1973. And this, report was summarized as followings.
1. The perforations were in 7:8%, obstructions were in 16.4% combined cases were i 3.7% of the 268 cases of colo-rectal cancer.
2. In the perforating and obstructing colo-rectal cancers, the resectability was 46. 7%, operative mortality was 28, 0% and 5 year survival rate was 17.4%.
3. The frequent perforating site of colo-rectal cancer was cecum and the frequent obstructing site of colo-rectal cancer was rectum.
4. The perforation and obstrurction were more complicated at aged patient.
